Comparative research // Cercetare comparată
RQSA does not intend to substitute established research centers, but to support them in order to raise founding for caring out excellent quality survey research, which provides open data to academic community and disseminate findings towards the general public as well.
For the time being, we focused on supporting comparative research, in particular in maintaining Romania as part of international research. In many ways, we fight to substitute lack of financing from state agencies in this regard.
RQSA nu se substituie centrelor de cercetare existente. Nu intenționăm să avem propriile cercetări, deși nu ezităm să facem și acest lucru. Prioritar rămâne însă să sprijinim grupurile existente să dezvolte cercetare cantitativă de calitate, care furnizează date deschise către comunitatea academică și diseminează rezultate și spre publicul obișnuit.
Pentru moment, ne concentrăm pe susținerea cercetărilor comparative și integrarea României în fluxurile internarțioale de cercetare. Căutăm astfel să suplinim lipsa de finanțare guvernamentală în acest sens.
We cooperate with the Romanian Group for Studying Social Values, supporting them to carry out EVS/WVS (European Values Study/World Values Survey). The group provides open data resulting from their research, and regularly disseminates academic papers and information for the general public. Their next fieldwork is scheduled for 2026, with an estimated minimal cost of 45,000 EURO.
We support the Romanian Election Studies project, hosted by Babeș-Bolyai of Cluj, in order to enable them to carry out research. The group is affiliated to CSES (Comparative Study of Electoral Systems). The team systematically reports findings related to Romanian elections. Its next fieldwork is scheduled for 2016 (parliamentarian elections) and has estimated costs of 60,000 EURO.
Cooperăm cu Grupul Românesc pentru Studiul Valorilor Sociale, susținându-i în activitatea lor legată de EVS și WVS (European Values Study/World Values Survey). Grupul diseminează periodic articole academice și prezentări pentru publicul larg. Datele colecate sunt disponibile public. Următorul sondaj este programat pentru 2017, având un cost estimat de 45.000 EURO.
Susținem Romanian Election Studies, proiect găzduit de Universitatea Babeș-Bolyai din Cluj, afiliat CSES (Comparative Study of Electoral Systems). Echipa analizează și informează permanent despre alegerile din România. Următorul său val de sondaje este legat de alegereile parlamentare din 2016 și are costuri estimate de 60.000 EURO.
We started cooperation with ISSP (Internaonal Social Survey Program), but we have failed to integrate Romania into the international team due to lack of founding.
Support for ICCS (International Civic and Citizenship Education Study) is part of medium term interests. The costs are estimated for 42,000 EURO each year. Cluj University is the Romanian host of the project.
Cooperarea cu ISSP (International Social Survey Program) a început în 2016, dar nereușind să atragem finanțare, am renunțat la proiect.
Pe termen mediu, ICCS (International Civic and Citizenship Education Study) este una din preocupările noastre, cu costuri aproximative de 42.000 EURO pe an. Cooperarea în această direcție este cu UBB Cluj.

Non-comparative studies are also part of our interest, under the strong conditioning to producing open data. We announce such initiatives when the case.
Studii necomparative sunt de asemena în atenția noastră, cu condiția eliminatorie de a produce date deschise. Anunțăm astfel de inițiative la timpul lor.

Promoting high quality data analysis
RQSA intenționează să instituie un premiu destinat celor mai bune lucrări ale unor doctoranzi sau masteranzi, care utilizează metode cantiative de analiză. Detalii vor fi furnizate în curând.
RQSA intends to establish an award for the best graduate thesis or paper published each year, which makes use of quantitative analysis. The methodology for selecting the winner(s) will be announced soon.
